Sydney Opera House (1957 - 1973) is Sydney’s iconic masterpiece located on the waters edge of Sydney Harbour.  The Sydney Opera House was designed by Jørn Utzon of Denmark. His ingenuity to design such a unique sculpture in a spectacular setting has now developed to be the Symbol of Sydney and Australia.

The Sydney Opera House has developed its status as an international performing arts centre and in June 2007 the Sydney Opera House was inducted in the World Heritage List.
