There is plenty on offer at Australia’s most famous beach. Bondi lives up to its reputation as a vibrant and colorful beachside suburb.
With a fabulous café culture, From the skatef board ramps at the south end of Bondi to North Bondi surf club at the far end of the beach the promenade allows you to walk the distance of the Beach. Whether its fish and chips on the grass and watching the waves or a more luxurious dining experience right on the beach the choice is yours.
Activities at Bondi are extensive and cater for most visitors. For the more energetic, there is plenty on offer including roller blading, skate boarding, surfing, jogging, power walking or bike riding. There is even a small out door gym at the North end of Bondi and last but not least, swimming.
The safest and most popular area to swim is the middle of the beach where life guards patrol between the red and yellow flags. If you are with young children then head to North end for the children’s pool and also close by at Ben Buckler Park is a playground and grassy area to sit back and relax. At the South end under the Famous Bondi Icebergs is Bondi Baths, where for a small fee you can use the sea water outdoor pool.
Bondi is famous for its fabulous outdoor café culture which stretches the along Campbell parade and runs parallel to the beach. The side streets off the main strip offer endless food options from high end to the humble thai there is something for every budget and occasion.
The Bondi to Coogee coastal walk also begins at this point where you can take in the majesty of the coastline in all its glory.
